Create a pattern inside a simple outline
This Easter egg outline template printable contains two large blank egg shapes. Each has a narrower rounded top and a wider lower half, leaving an open interior for drawing. Use the pair for different patterns, matching designs or a classroom display made from original decorated pages.

Plan a few large areas first
Divide an egg into broad bands or sections with pencil, then add smaller marks such as dots, zigzags or repeated shapes. Keeping the first marks simple leaves room for details without making the design crowded. Learners can repeat a pattern on both eggs or deliberately change one feature and describe the difference. There is no predetermined finished design.
Choose whether to cut or keep the page whole
The outlines work as coloring spaces without any cutting. If you want separate decorations, color first and cut around the outer line using tools appropriate for the person doing the activity. Provide supervision where needed. The shape is a decorative template, not a representation of a particular egg species or a container pattern, and its finished size changes with printer scaling.
