What this printable includes
Find a fraction of a whole-number quantity in twelve exact calculations. The chosen quantities divide evenly by the denominators, allowing learners to focus on equal groups before multiplying by the numerator. The worksheet includes a separate answer image and text key.

How to use the page
To find three quarters of twenty, first divide twenty into four equal groups, giving five in each group. Then take three groups, giving fifteen. This order keeps the meaning of the denominator visible. A diagram or small collection of counters can support the same reasoning.
Review and adapt
Check whether the result makes sense for the fraction shown. Every fraction on this page is positive and no greater than one, so its share cannot exceed the original quantity. The page does not cover fractional starting quantities or rounding. Explain the grouping before moving on to a faster calculation method.
