Flower Outline Templates for Tracing and Paper Crafts

These flower outline templates offer simple, undecorated shapes for tracing, cutting, and paper crafts. Choose a large six-petal outline or a page of three smaller flowers with different petal counts.

Large six-petal flower

The large shape has one continuous outside edge and no internal cutting lines. Use it as a tracing pattern, a paper flower base, or a blank shape to decorate.

Three smaller flower outlines

The second page includes five-, six-, and eight-petal shapes, arranged separately down the page. Their sizes make them useful for comparing outlines or adding several flowers to a paper project.

Trace or cut the shapes

  1. Choose the page and print a test copy.
  2. Cut around the outside edge if you need a loose pattern.
  3. Hold the pattern still and trace it onto your chosen paper.
  4. Add a drawn center, colors, or other details after tracing.

For children’s cutting activities, use suitable scissors with adult supervision. The printable does not include stems, leaves, or assembly instructions for a three-dimensional flower.

Compare the petal patterns

Count the rounded points around each small flower and compare their spacing. A learner can color alternating petals or invent a repeating color order. The outlines are decorative geometric flower shapes rather than botanical diagrams of named species.

Use the shape at another size

Printing at a different scale changes the physical size of the outline. Check the preview and a test print when a craft needs the flower to fit a specific space.

Download and print

Use Download image beneath a printable to save the original PNG. Choose US Letter or A4 if you want the website to create a one-page PDF. Check the paper size and preview before printing; these pages are images with handwriting spaces, rather than fillable forms.
