Gift Planner Printable for Ideas and Progress

This gift planner printable keeps ideas and progress for ten recipients on one page. Each row has space for a name, gift details, an estimated cost, and separate bought and wrapped columns. Label the occasion or year at the top so the list is easy to identify later.

Capture an idea before choosing it

The wide ideas column can hold a possible gift, size or color detail, or a reminder to ask a question. Write enough to recognize the idea without filling the row with a long product description. If you are comparing several options, keep the alternatives together until you decide.

Use estimated cost as a personal note

The cost column is a place for your own planning figure, not a live price check or financial calculation. Add a currency symbol if the list could otherwise be unclear. When an actual purchase differs from the estimate, cross out the old figure neatly or keep receipts and detailed spending records elsewhere.

Keep buying and wrapping distinct

Mark Bought only after the item has been purchased or otherwise arranged. Mark Wrapped after that separate job is complete. For a gift that does not need wrapping, use a consistent mark such as a dash rather than an unexplained empty space.

If ordering an item, a short note such as “ordered; awaiting delivery” can prevent an order confirmation from being confused with an item already in hand. The template does not track delivery automatically, so update the row when its status changes.

Review the list before another trip

Read the names and open status columns before buying supplies or making another purchase. Use a second sheet for a different occasion or a longer recipient list. Keeping separate events on separate dated pages makes later notes easier to interpret.
