What this practice page covers
This rectangle area perimeter worksheet includes an original practice page and a separate answer page. Area measures the space inside a rectangle, while perimeter measures the distance around it. Each problem gives two side lengths and asks for both quantities.
Work through an example
For a 3 cm by 5 cm rectangle, area is 3 × 5 = 15 cm². Perimeter is 2 × (3 + 5) = 16 cm. The different units are part of the answer. Read the instruction before starting, and use a spare sheet for intermediate working if the answer space is not enough.
Review the method as well as the answer
Sketch the rectangle on spare paper if it helps connect the formulas to the shape.
