Use six lines for a six-string instrument
This blank guitar tab paper printable has eight systems of six horizontal lines. Each system is separated by enough space for fret numbers and brief annotations. A tuning field at the top lets you record the tuning you intend to use. The sheet does not contain a song, fingering exercise or prewritten arrangement.

Label the convention you are using
In the common guitar-tab convention, the top line represents the highest-pitched string and the bottom line the lowest-pitched string. Write fret numbers on the appropriate line and add a key for any symbols that may be unfamiliar to the reader. If your tuning differs from a usual arrangement, note it clearly rather than expecting the blank lines to communicate it.
Add timing information when needed
Basic tablature can indicate strings and frets without fully describing rhythm. Add your own rhythm notes or use staff notation alongside the tab when timing needs to be precise. Use the page for original music, your own practice notes or material you have permission to reproduce. A test print helps you decide whether the line spacing suits your handwriting.
