What this practice page covers
This decimal place value worksheet includes an original practice page and a separate answer page. A digit has a value determined by its position. This worksheet asks for the value of a specified digit in a decimal with two places after the decimal point.

Work through an example
In 3.47, the digit 4 represents four tenths, so its value is 0.4. The answer is a value rather than the place name “tenths.” Read the instruction before starting, and use a spare sheet for intermediate working if the answer space is not enough.
Review the method as well as the answer
Read each prompt carefully before choosing the digit. A zero in the tenths position does not move a hundredths digit into tenths. Use a place-value chart if learners need to see the columns aligned. Try the exercise page before opening the key. When an answer differs, compare the steps and correct the specific misunderstanding rather than copying every result. The page is focused practice, not a complete assessment of the wider topic.
