Multiplication Practice for 2, 3, 4 and 5 with Answers

This multiplication practice for 2 to 5 focuses on sixteen selected facts. The first factors are two, three, four, and five; each is paired with three, six, nine, and twelve. This is a focused practice set rather than a complete multiplication table.

Read the two factors

Use equal groups or an array to show what the equation means. For example, four groups of six represent 4 × 6. Count the objects or use a known relationship to find the product. Keep the represented group size and number of groups clear when discussing the model.

Multiplication: 2, 3, 4 and 5 with 16 numbered exercises

Build on a fact you know

If 2 × 6 is familiar, doubling that result can help with 4 × 6. A five-times fact can be checked by counting groups of five. Invite the learner to explain the relationship rather than only naming the product. A chart can support checking after an attempt, especially while the facts are still becoming familiar.

Use the ordered set deliberately

Related facts appear close together. Cover some rows or choose one first factor for a shorter session. Later, point to selected items in a different order to see whether the learner is reading the factors instead of continuing a memorized number sequence.

Compare with the answer key

The separate image completes all sixteen equations, and the text key below provides the same products. If an answer is incorrect, check the model or calculation used for that fact. The key confirms a result but does not identify the reasoning behind a mistake.

The sheet includes twelve as a second factor, so it extends beyond facts whose two factors both stay at ten or below. Choose the rows that fit the current activity. The template has writing space for a product, with additional working best kept on a separate sheet.
