About this printable
Reflect on the reasoning used to solve a logic or number puzzle. The log records useful attempts and contradictions rather than only whether the puzzle was completed.

How to use it
Choose a puzzle with clear rules and note one constraint before making a move. Record a strategy such as checking a nearly complete row. If an attempt creates a contradiction, describe the conflict so you can revisit the reasoning without repeating the same guess.
Check and adapt
Separate a logically forced move from a trial assumption. Use the final section for a next step supported by the puzzle’s rules. A stalled attempt can still be informative; summarize what you learned before consulting an answer key.
