What this practice page covers
This odd and even numbers worksheet includes an original practice page and a separate answer page. An even whole number can be arranged into pairs without one left over. An odd whole number leaves one unpaired.

Work through an example
For 38, the ones digit is 8, so the number is even. For 41, the ones digit is 1, so it is odd. Read the instruction before starting, and use a spare sheet for intermediate working if the answer space is not enough.
Review the method as well as the answer
Ask learners to explain a few choices using pairs or the ones digit, rather than only filling labels. Larger numbers use the same whole-number rule. Try the exercise page before opening the key. When an answer differs, compare the steps and correct the specific misunderstanding rather than copying every result. The page is focused practice, not a complete assessment of the wider topic.
