What this printable includes
Find both the greatest common factor and least common multiple for eight pairs of positive integers. Keeping the two answers beside the same pair helps learners distinguish factors that divide a number from multiples made by multiplying it.

How to use the page
For six and eight, the common positive factors are one and two, so the greatest is two. Their first shared positive multiple is twenty-four. Listing factors and early multiples is a practical starting method for the small numbers on this page. Label the two answers so their roles remain clear.
Review and adapt
Check that a proposed common factor divides both numbers and that a proposed common multiple is divisible by both. Then ask whether a larger common factor or smaller positive common multiple exists. The answer page supplies the results, while the practice space is available for a learner’s own lists or method.
