About this printable
Practice simple probability fractions with eight focused questions and a separate printable answer key. Each exercise has space for a written method, and the answers also appear as readable text below. Use the practice page first, then compare methods as well as final answers. The paired images stay together in this article so the solution can be found without searching for another post.

How to use it
For equally likely individual counters, divide the number of blue counters by the total number of counters. With three blue and five red counters, the probability of blue is 3/8. Include both colors when finding the total.
Check and adapt
Simplify the fraction and check that it lies between zero and one. Each question describes one random selection from a well-mixed set of identical-size counters. There are no repeated draws, replacements or changing totals to track in this introductory set.
