About this printable
Practice trapezoid area with eight focused questions and a separate printable answer key. Each exercise has space for a written method, and the answers also appear as readable text below. Use the practice page first, then compare methods as well as final answers. The paired images stay together in this article so the solution can be found without searching for another post.

How to use it
Add the lengths of the parallel bases, multiply by the perpendicular height and divide by two. Bases of 6 cm and 10 cm with height 4 cm give 32 square centimeters. The formula averages the two bases before applying the height.
Check and adapt
Check that you used the parallel sides as the bases and included the division by two. All lengths in a prompt are in centimeters, so answers use square centimeters. The word trapezium is used for this shape in some regions; this page uses trapezoid.
