About this printable
Practice fraction to decimal conversion with eight focused questions and a separate printable answer key. Each exercise has space for a written method, and the answers also appear as readable text below. Use the practice page first, then compare methods as well as final answers. The paired images stay together in this article so the solution can be found without searching for another post.

How to use it
Divide the numerator by the denominator, or rewrite the fraction with a denominator of 10, 100 or 1000. For example, 3/8 equals 375/1000, so its decimal form is 0.375. Keep the place value of every digit visible.
Check and adapt
Multiply the decimal by the denominator to check that it gives the numerator. All fractions on this page terminate, so no rounding or repeating-decimal notation is needed. A trailing zero can be omitted without changing the value.
